Overview
The redevelopment of Stafford’s Market Square represented a significant investment in revitalising the town's central focal hub, with a particular focus on the installation of new paving. This initiative was part of a broader £1.8 million project aimed at enhancing Stafford Borough Council’s wider plans to breathe new life into the town centre and create a more welcoming environment for residents, visitors, and local businesses.
Our Contribution
The newly installed Kellen paving in Stafford’s Market Square featured a textured finish that, while visually striking, tended to 'hold' more building site residue than standard paving. Ahead of the public handover, we restored the full 2,500 square metre area to reveal the paving’s true colour, rich tones, and high-quality finish. The result was a clean, impressive surface that elevated the overall appearance of the regenerated square. All works were carried out while, ensuring minimal disruption to pedestrians, local businesses, and the flow of activity within this busy public space.
